Cosmetic plastic surgery, from Botox to beyond
Cosmetic plastic surgery is no longer just a look-good trick of the rich and famous; it’s become commonplace among women outside Hollywood as well. Curious about cosmetic surgery? Here’s a quickie guide to some common procedures, from Botox to beyond!
Botox is often used to relax frown lines around the mouth or forehead. It’s injected into the muscles, not nerves, so it won’t eliminate sensation in your face. But overuse can relax muscles to the point that your face starts to look expressionless, which is why some famous females, like actress Courtney Cox, have said they dislike the procedure.
Fillers like Restylane are injected into the cheeks, lips, or other areas of the face so skin looks plump and smooth. Too much can make your face look puffy or give you the dreaded “duck lips”, so remember, moderation is key!
Implants are just what they sound like: solid (not injectable) implants to change the shape and size of your cheeks, breasts, or booty. Breast implants are increasingly popular among young women, so it’s good to know that unless your implants are very large (more than two cup sizes up from your regular size), the chance of them hiding a breast cancer lump is low.
Liposuction removes fat cells; many women get lipo on their thighs or stomach when dieting just isn’t enough to get rid of the last bit of flab. But if you are thinking about lipo, you should be aware that while the fat cells in a given area won’t regenerate later on, if you gain weight after your surgery, it will have to relocate somewhere meaning you could wind up with, say, a flat tummy and extra poundage around the hips. So, while lipo is a great addition to diet and exercise, it isn’t a substitute!

Botox and fillers lke Juvederm should be injected only by physicians licensed to administer it, and not by any one that thinks this is an easy job. That’s why when I did my botox Toronto treatment I chose the best clinic in town, to be sure everything will be OK. This should be a priority for any person that wants to try such a treatment.
Plastic surgeries for weight loss only exist to help eliminate the excess fats but not to make you look thin permanently. Exercise and proper diet is still needed to maintain your figure. Plastic surgeries only help you achieve the figure you want easily.
