Cheryl Cole has revealed in Girls Aloud’s book, Dreams That Glitter, that she lived a difficult childhood life, as her family was poor. The singer apparently wore cast-off clothes and played with second-hand toys during the difficult phase of her life. “We didn’t have any privileges. I remember living on baked beans, eggs and bread if it wasn’t out of date,” the News of the World quoted her as saying.

She added, “If we got a McDonald’s or a Chinese take-away, oh my God, that was a treat, a luxury, because it was costing my mother a fortune. I’d get a Barbie that was four years out of fashion from a girl in the street who didn’t want it any more. And I’d get hand-me-downs from a girl up the road who had everything she wanted. Then she’d be like, ‘Ha ha! Cheryl’s got my jumper on’.”

Cole’s new single is Fight For This Love is set to hit the number one spot on music charts.

Pop star Jennifer Lopez, who is famous for her curvaceous figure, has found a new fan in singer Cheryl Cole. The latter wants a body like J-Lo because she hates her own.

The Girls Aloud singer Cole considers the 39-year-old Lopez as a healthy-looking celebrity and says it “destroys” her when girls feel guilty about eating, Sun online reported. “I hate looking thin. It’s not a good look. I’d love to have more junk in my trunk. Ideally a body like Jennifer Lopez,” Cole said. The, 25-year-old singer claimed that she has no curves and gets nicknamed “flatty batty” for her small behind. She also feels that her bust size is “ridiculous” for her tiny frame.

Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has landed the top spot in Tatler magzine’s ‘best dressed’ list of 2009. Cole has become a style icon as her star has soared in the last year. “The world has gone completely insane for our Cheryl,” the Telegraph quoted Tatler as saying. Elettra Rossellini came second while Caroline Sieber landed the third spot.

Kate Moss, last year’s number two, and fellow supermodel Agyness Deyn, who was at number 10 last year, failed to make the top 10.
