Sandra Bullock Wins Nomination For Worst Actress

Even though she is in the run for an Oscar this year for Best Actress, Sandra Bullock has been nominated in the Worst Actress category too at the 30th Golden Raspberry Awards for her film ”All About Steve”. The 45-year-old actress is competing with singer Beyonce Knowles for ”Obsessed”, Miley Cyrus for ”Hannah Montana: The Movie”, Sarah Jessica Parker for ”Did You Hear About the Morgans?” and Megan Fox, who has been nominated her performance in two films, ”Jennifer”s Body” and ”Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”.

”Transformers” is also in the run for the Worst Picture of 2009 award alongwith ”All About Steve”, ”GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra”, ”Land of the Lost” and ”Old Dogs”. Divas like Madonna, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez and starlet Lindsay Lohan have been nominated in Worst Actress of the Decade category.

Actor Ben Affleck has been nominated for the Worst Actor of the Decade alongwith Eddie Murphy, John Travolta, Mike Myers and Rob Schneider. British hunk Robert Pattinson has been nominated in the Worst Supporting Actor category for ”Twilight Saga: New Moon”.

The film has won nominations in two categories – Worst Remake, Rip-off or Sequel and Worst Screenplay. Travolta has won himself a nomination in the Worst actor category for ”Old Dogs”, while Steve Martin is in the run for his performance in ”Pink Panther 2”, Murphy for ”Imagine That” and Will Ferrell for ”Land of the Lost”.

Actress Sandra Bullock has beaten actor Johnny Depp to become highest-earning star in Hollywood.
Thanks to roles in films like The Proposal and The Blind Side, the stunner raked in more than 336 million pounds at the box office, reports The New of the World.

Bullock also appeared in and produced the comedy All About Steve. She is the eighth woman to land the top spot on the annual list released by Quigley Publishing Company since 1932. The last was Julia Roberts in 1999. Johnny Depp was second on the list, followed by Matt Damon at third. George Clooney, Robert Downey Jr, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeou were the others following Sandra.

Sandra Bullock is tired of people asking her why she hasn’t had a baby yet. The Miss Congeniality actress, who married TV star Jesse James in 2005 and is stepmother to his three children, Chandler, 15, Jesse Jr. 12 and Sunny, five, says she gets frustrated when people ask why she hasn’t had children of her own, The Times reported. “It always seems that people want to talk about my uterus. I’m not talking about theirs… Why are they talking about my innards?” Bullock said.

The 44-year-old star said she avoided falling pregnant earlier in her life because she didn’t want to be a selfish mother. “I didn’t want to have a child without a partner and I loved kids too much to have them right then, because I knew that the minute I have children my life would change. And then I met Jesse and I went, `Wow! There’s that feeling of wanting to procreate because I love someone and I see him to be a good father’,” the actress said.

Bullock says she enjoys the challenges of looking after her step-children and loves them as if they are her own. “A life is a life. Whether or not it came from your body should be secondary, in my opinion. If tomorrow I got home and went, `Oh my gosh, I’m pregnant,’ I’d be like, ‘Wow! Isn’t the universe amazing?’ But what I learnt was that it’s being more of a parent to care for a child that’s not yours. It’s harder,” Bullock added.
