‘My Name is Khan’ is directed by Karan JOhar and the rights have been sold for 100 crores to Fox Studios

Shah Rukh Khan plays the role of ‘Rizwan Khan who is suffering from Asperger Syndrome, a kind of autism disorder. He is married to ‘Kajol’ who plays the character of ‘Mandira’.

‘My Name is Khan’ is a epic love story of a couple based in LA. Rizwan will be arrested in connection with 9/11 terrorist attach, but the story doesn`t focus much on the attack, but explores the period afterwards. Rizwan was taken into custody for his ‘suspicious’ behaviour.

He happens to meet ‘Radha’ played by ‘Sheetal Menon’ a therapist who helps him overcome the ordeal.

After the treatment ‘Rizwan’ begins his journey to meet President inorder to clear his name.

Jimmy Shergill, Zarina Wahab, Sonya Jehan, Arif Zakaria, Tanay Chheda, Parvin Dabas, Arjun Mathur, Navneet Nishan, Christopher B.Duncan, Shane Harper also share the screen space in supporting roles.

King Khan while calling terrorism a religion of devils said, “While all civilised religions celebrate and respect life this new barbaric terror religion loves only death and unfortunately all human faiths now face a challenge.” Saluting India’s diverse culture and its uniqueness to absorb all differences, Khan said he was proud to be an Indian because “we are an impossible achievement in the world”.

“Indian civilization does not distinguish in terms of religion and it celebrates the uniqueness and absorbs all differences and faiths in its blood,” Shah Rukh said at the event organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs at the sprawling India Gate lawns. The hour-long event was held in memory of the victims and heroes of November 26 Mumbai attacks and terror attacks in other parts of the country.

“We are nearly a bomb away. I understand the sense of disparity but we can’t afford it and being a sportsman, I believe that life is all about winning,” Bindra said. Tennis star Sania Mirza evoked Rabindranath Tagore’s famous poem ‘Where The Mind is Without Fear’ to express her support for the fight against terrorism.

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, I and B Minister Ambika Soni, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, filmmaker Feroz Abbas Khan and actress Nandita Das were among others who attended the event.
